Any Chance Memory Prices rise?

    I want to buy more memory and the prices look right but i want to hold off for a bit. Any chance they will go higher rather than lower?

    Unless a plant burns down or a big time new player enters the memory game and starts buying everything up, no.

    Nothing in the ordinary would make prices rise.

    Recession time, and over capacity, plus fewer pc sales.

    I agree with the previous comment. RAM prices will not rise, and I'm expecting them to decline.

    Not exactly. If the PC2-5300 for our MB or MBP is never produced again, that means new technology instead of this one, these stick will be expansive.

    That has happened on SDRAM several years ago, right?

    DDR2 will start getting expensive once DDR3 becomes standard.

    …but as long as DDR2 is still widely used, we've got nothing to worry about
