Does anyone know if there are any controllers out there that actually work with STEAM games? Namely, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

I've used my PS4 controller with the USB cable and the controller works in the STEAM "BIG PICTURE" mode but once the game launches, the PS4 controller doesn't work anymore.

Does the Steam Controller work? I'd happily purchase if I know for sure it'll work in the actual game.

There's also this: https://9to5mac.com/2016/08/23/connect-dual-shock-4-controller-wirelessly-to-mac/

Just announced today. Any idea if this might work?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm on iMac and MacBook Pro, all relatively recent versions. Only a few years old.

The new Xbox one S controller has Bluetooth and according to the link from this thread might work. It is $49 though.

This seems to have been a problem for years. Why does Apple apparently think that we don't want to use game controllers? Surely it can't be that difficult to implement? A bit like having the ability to set a default zoom level in Safari. Must be so simple but we still don't have it!
