Are you sure the first 3 numbers are the build week?
This tool, which I believe was made for older iPhones, seems to indicate the first two characters actually identify the build location. For example:
"C2" = "China"
"C3" = "China"
"DN" = "China, Chengdu - Foxconn"
"DM" = "China - Foxconn"
"DR" = (unrecognized)
And this tool does somehow know about the production date despite changing any of the first 3 characters:
"Production Week: 40 (October)"
"Production Year: 2011"
I haven't figured out yet the year and week decoding. Changing the 5th character changes the week, but not in a predictable way (yet).
