All,
I have a file named "foo.bar" deeply under /Library. When I search the filename in Spotlight without specifying any directory, it does not hit it. But if I explicitly ask Spotlight to search /Library directory (by going to this directory in Finder), it did get the file.
I am confused as I thought the default setting (search "this Mac") should cover all directories that indexed.
If this is not the case, which directories are skipped by default? and how to include those directories?
I tried "mdfind" on command line and it seemed to search "all" directories. I want to get consistent result on the Spotlight interface.
Thanks,
