I get the impression reading through these forums that there are a few of us that are educators? Are you one? What level?

I teach Mathematics and Statistics at a university. Unfortunately I need Windows in order to run WinBUGS but other than that I am Windows free. 🙂

I've just completed my first year of teaching high school English. It's a second career. I like it.

Win 98, believe it or not. But, I bought a switch to hook up my Powerbook, so I take it and use it daily.

I spent 6 years as a county Extension Educator with Purdue University. It's non-formal education, but a critical part of the Land Grant University system. Man I loved teaching, but the politics of the job were really wearing me out.

I left a year ago to take a regulatory position with the state.

Both of my parents are grade school teachers.

I am thinking about going into education at the university/college level for math. Anyone have advice on how to pursue that?

Most or all universities will require a PhD to be on their faculty. You can get an assistantship and teach while you're working on that doctorate, though.
