    Hi

My kids have got DSi's now, and you can put music on in AAC only on the SD card for the DSi XL.

Most of my music is all in MP3 format, I have converted using iTunes to AAC, but it adds to library etc, I've then got to find them, delete them so as not to mess up my main library.

Is there a free app to convert from MP3 to AAC not using iTunes? would just be easier for me this way

    cheers
I have an Intel imac, using Snow Leopard btw

just right click on the file, and choose show in Finder.

    You could also use XLD.

XLD,the best IMO. I use this to convert my lossless stuff to AAC true vbr for portables :)

    http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html

set it and drag and drop the files on the icon to convert. A transcode from mp3 to AAC is not good, you should start from lossless or cd for good encodes btw.

    Skyblue we posted together lol

Convert the file in iTunes, right click on the file, and choose show in Finder. Not too hard.

    Or download and use XLD.

First select Mpeg-4 AAC from menù.

i believe this setting is good enough for you if you go for around 128 kbps.
