Any free MP3 to AAC converter? Not iTunes..for a DSi

Hi

My kids have got DSi's now, and you can put music on in AAC only on the SD card for the DSi XL.

Most of my music is all in MP3 format, I have converted using iTunes to AAC, but it adds to library etc, I've then got to find them, delete them so as not to mess up my main library.

Is there a free app to convert from MP3 to AAC not using iTunes? would just be easier for me this way

set it and drag and drop the files on the icon to convert. A transcode from mp3 to AAC is not good,you should start from lossless or cd for good encodes btw.l

cheers having a look at it now, I just want to convert from my MP3s, to a simple 128 AAC file

which output format do I chose? theres a lot there, I just want a normal AAC music file?

It is easy in iTunes , but then gotta delete from library, if theres lots got to select each version etc etc.

What format do I chose in XLD please?
 
First select Mpeg-4 AAC from menù.

i believe this setting is good enough for you if you go for around 128 kbps.

of maybe you could get up the q value a bit for better quality,it's up to you 🙂
