Any free video splitter/joiner???

I am a recent mac convert, and while trying to make video ringtones for my iphone found out that I dont have a simple and effective video splitter and joiner. Any popular ones out there? I am not quite fond of iMovie.. So anything apart from that>>> 😕

While not exactly free, QuickTime player if you pay for QuickTime Pro will let you chop & splice...
