Best Buy has been running sales every other week. Just stopped again Sunday.
BH Photo online has sales all the time. The 38MM Red Stainless was down to $299 last night. 42mm are selling better so the discounts aren't as great.
You have to check BH daily as the prices fluctuate quite a bit by color, size and model.
You can order from BH... No tax unless you are in NY. Or you can have Best Buy online or In store match BH. BH just needs to have the price when you are picking up the watch at Best Buy... or when you call for online.
Also, BHphoto.com is listed on the Best Buy website as someone price matches for in store or online... Don't have anyone tell you any different.

I got the 42mm ss with red band from B&H Photo last week for $380 with a free aluminum watch stand. Free 3 day ship and no tax.
Yea, you need to buy apple care within 2 months and take the watch to the apple store for inspection plus proof of purchase.
I also got a 42mm SS with white band last Friday from them for $399 no tax and 3 days free shipping, good deal to me.

Best Buy has these sales only around major holidays so there's an excellent chance that we'll see a 4th of July sale.
B&H had a crazy good deal a week or two ago. Had the Space Black SS for at least $200 off - thought it was more. They had the SS 42mm with white band for $399.
$429 is a good deal for the product red SS 42mm - unless you want the $9.99 stand

The $399 42mm SS white band is the deal I got, expected delivery is today =)
That is a great deal - especially when I think back to last May when I paid about $700 after taxes for my 42mm SS with black classic leather band. Now, how much I have spent on bands has topped that thanks to the SS Link. I now have 4 sport bands from apple, four classic leather bands - favorite is the midnight blue version 3 and the gray version 3. After that is mostly third party bands I rarely wear but they were good for $25 and leather.
thats another thing, do you think having the black SS is too classy? like to dressy for regular day to day? the regular SS looks more 24/7 type of watch?
I don't think the Space Black is too classy for every day use. Throw on a yellow sport band and it looks very casual - same for white. Would also look good with the midnight blue sport band.
The more resistant DLC coating is cancelled out by an inability to remove scratches if you do induce them (unlike the case with standard SS), so it's a toss up.
I was going through the same issue a couple of weeks ago. I finally gave up and picked up a 42mm Sport from Best Buy while they were on sale. Glad I did it. When they come out with the next version, maybe this year, maybe not, I will wait for a while to decide if I want to bite the bullet for the new version. Till then, I have the current version to play with and learn!
