any good youtube downloader/video converter apps for mac os?

title^ The online websites have length limits, all kinds of bugs, and are slow. I tried wondershare downloader but its $30 for full version seems kind of crazy for a youtube downloader. any recommendations? thanks!

Softorino Youtube downloader is great. I’ve used both Mac and Windows versions and i strongly recommend it. There’s trial I think too.

Video Duke and Airy (both from Eltima Software) both work extremely well. Unfortunately, you have to pay for this sort of thing - because the freebie/cheap versions only work until Google changes something with the code on YouTube... eventually, the developer of these freebie/cheap versions runs out of patience and interest in maintaining them.
