I don't see any reason to jump into the 3GS at this point. Last year's 3.0 update came out only 2 days before the 3GS launched. It was also officially announced just about a week before that.
I've got an early 3G 16GB that does everything I need it to. Sure, I'd like the added speed (and compass, and voice activation...) of the 3GS, but heck, I'm not so impatient as some that I can't wait another 2 to 4 months to see what the new phone brings. I've already waited 8 months, so what's another few?
At the very least, I should be able to pick up a 32 GB by then at the $199 price point.
No sense in locking into another two-year contract prematurely...
Nope ill hold out until the next gen iphone, I might be getting my hands on a 3rd gen touch to use the beta on, im still trying to decide if its a waste of my $99 though.
What are the odds of a new iphone this summer when they release 4.0? I would think Steve Jobs would have announced a new phone this weeks keynote. By him not announcing a new iphone, does that decrease the chance of a new iphone this summer?
