So all of you that planing on getting the SE as a secondary device (or keeping old phone around), admitting the Plus version is too big for your day to day activities ?

Instead of juggling between two phones i prefer having smaller phone for day to day use, a tablet\MBP when needed bigger screen, and iPod Nano only for sport activities…

That is exactly what I did for a few years. I have a Macbook Pro, and (up until a few days ago) a 4s. I really didn't see much need for an upgrade since I do most of my internet related stuff on the laptop. The phone was just a mini way for me to have the internet/phone in a pinch while I was out. It wasn't until the thing started breaking that I finally bit the bullet and got a 6s plus. I originally wanted the SE, but that front facing camera, 3d touch and stabilization, coupled with battery life swayed me to the plus. Man, do I regret it. I've only had it for a few days now and I've dropped or nearly dropped the beast 4-5 times. It's just ridiculous to jog with and use daily.

For me...6s Plus is mostly used in a toilet because of a large screen but I am thinking about installing the iPad Pro over there. At work I use 6s and sometimes outside of it. SE could be great while on bike or when I am wearing tight jeans.

The amount of people talking about having a back up phone as if its so normal and necessary is amazing (as in, ridiculous). In my 10+ I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've needed a back up phone. I mean, how many times are you really going to lose or break your phone?

So your really gonna swap your sim out every time you wear tight jeans or go on your bike? Seems like a crazy amount of effort.

I got the SE for that reason. There are some scenarios where I don't want to carry around my 6S+, especially in the summer when I'm out and about (outdoor workouts, hiking, water sports, motorcycle/scooter rides). Carrying the big plus around for these is just not ideal for me. The SE came out just in time as my current 5 backup can't hold a charge anymore.

I have the 6S+ and the SE 64GB is mighty tempting as a secondary phone, except for the fact that the damn Whatsapp doesn't allow simultaneous operation on multiple iPhones sharing the same phone number. Apple, you know what to do about that. :)

On the price front it just doesn't make sense for me to buy a 32/64GB used 5S for ~50% of a new 64GB SE as I feel the SE is the one that is easily the best among all iPhones to retain their resale value while the SE hardware is so much more faster.

Swapping SIMs in times like that is a pain. Why not either go phone-less when biking, just use the Apple Watch, or get a regular iPhone 6s that you can bring everywhere?

No. Lol. They're basically the same phone.

Now, if you were using a Nexus 6P (or other big Android phone) and wanted a smaller iPhone (SE), then I see the point...since you have two different platforms. But, having two of the SAME devices (with the same OS) but different sizes, is pointless to me.

I am...obviously...joking:)

I can't wear different jeans because of my 6s+ ! But i'm ok with that. I have the experience of having a second phone. SE is a nice phone for a secondary phone but i stick with my 6s plus. If i were to buy a second phone that would be an android one.

He may have been joking, but I was rotating my GF's old phones to my "second" phone. My main phone is a 6S+, but my second phone was a 6S that I just replaced with a new SE. I was going to stick with the 5S but I wanted Apple Pay, but now the SE is has it. Swapping SIMs is unnecessary for me since my devices--iPhones, Macs, iPads--all ring on one number. iMessage handles all the texting except for the handful of my friends/family that don't use Apple devices, and even SMS from them works when I'm connected to WiFi.

So, I just pick up whichever phone I want to use. Unfortunately right now I have to pick the matching watch if I want notifications.
Unless you have multiple data plans for your multiple phones, wouldn't it just be a WiFi only device if you don't swap the SIM?

The iPhone SE is without doubt the perfect partner for the iPhone 6s Plus. I've ordered one for this precise reason. I also think the new iPhone 4" is a Spring/Summer device, ideal for accompanying me on runs and work outs due to its smaller form factor.

I have a 6s+ also and am considering an SE as my main phone for portability and tethering the 6S+ as a media device when I'm at home or on a business trip. The combo seems perfect for my needs. I miss the pocketable size of the 5 and 5S. I do like the larger screen on the 6s+ but not all the time.

Switch over to Telegram, much better than Whatsapp and allows to do what you a trying to di

I have no desire to spend 500 dollars on a product that is only going to be used for secondary purposes. I guess 500 dollars is a lot for me, and so I need to have clear justification on its use before spending. I'll be selling my iPhone 6 plus to help offset the cost of the SE when the time comes.

I have to agree with Mike here. I'd rather put the $500 in savings or towards travel. With that said, if I were to purchase the SE, I would sell my 6 (which I currently still have in case my 6s takes a spill). So I would sell the 6 to offset the cost of the SE. There would be no point in dropping $500 and having three phone's.

Hi, I'm from Brazil and i bought the iPhone 6s Plus 128GB in january. But I have to confess that I'm seduced by the iPhone SE. I REALLY LOVE the design of iPhone 5/5s and I decided to buy the 6s Plus because it's bigger and the memory capacity (128GB). But just to be big it's so difficult to bear the phone in many places.. I'm thinking about buying the new iPhone SE as a secondary phone, as an iPod and for emergency calls at work or university. Anyone else will buy iPhone SE as a secondary device?

Sorry for my "poor" english.

I just got the new SE and ditching my 6S Plus. Size of SE is perfect and allows me again one hand operation. I'm always close to a table or a PC so no need for a huge phone. Had it for 3 days and loving it so far.

Never understand why people keeping €900+ phones as a media device for the house, when you can have iPhone SE AND iPad Mini 4\air 2 for the same price...

Not a chance. Apps are much better on a big screen. If I would have liked the 4" screen that much, I would have stuck with the iPhone 5S since it still has enough power in 2016.

The only time when I'll probably use the iPhone 5S is if I go on holiday and use a foreign SIM card to avoid high costs.

I find the iPad too large. My 6s+ is much better for travel as I can throw it in a pocket if needed and not have to carry an iPad in a larger case. Also since I already have both phones (purchased the SE yesterday evening) there is no need to spend additional cash on an iPad.

I'm thinking of selling off my 6s+ and getting a 6s and SE.

Anyone using 6s and SE together?
