Any issues with a magnetic money clip?

So i just got a money clip today, but it has a magnetic flip thing. Will these magnets mess with my credit cards?? All i read it to keep magnets away from credit cards, but i can't believe a company like Fossil would make a bad product.

The magnets are not powerful enough to do much dammage. Just keep the strips pointed away from the magnets, and NEVER allow two strips to touch.

My mother has destroyed several Royal Bank of Canada Visa Cards by putting its magnetic strip up against the magnetic stip other cards. It has to do with how weak the RBC card was compared to her cards issued in the US, but I've also see in happen to random cards of friends.

It just came today, and i was like, wait, doesn't magnets kill cards? So i thought i would ask. Worse comes to worse, i have to get the card replaced.

Yeah I saw that one. Even an electric eel couldn't tamper with the credit cards.

I don't think money clips would be popular if they messed with credit card strips.

This is one of my peeves as well. In this case, it should be effect, because it has nothing to do with emotion or feeling, and everything to do with cause and effect.
