Any issues with the Hangouts app on iOS 8?

I had a few issues when upgrading to iOS8 GM and using a previous backup/restore. The camera refused to work in app and attachments from the camera roll refused to load. These things were fixed when I re-installed the GM and chose not to restore from a previous backup - downloading Hangouts fresh. Experience is no different than on iOS7 at this point.
 
I missed a phone call on my iPod Touch 5 because it asked if I wanted to rate the app. When I said no, the app forgot that the "phone" was still ringing.
 
I have one notification on the App icon on my home screen all the time now... I can't get rid of it! Have tried killing the app and reopening it - to no avail...

Anyone else having similar problems?

Yes, I am having the same issue. I am also not receiving notifications for messages.
