Any issues with this gen refurb ?

Loosk like from what I can tell that I can spend about $150 to upgrade to 7200rpm 320gb drive and a 4gb ram kit. So, I guess it boils down to the processor, no ?

The 2.66 also has double the graphics memory, I would say go for the 2.66, as it's only $350 more, but you're getting quite a few extra features that you won't need to upgrade at a later date to get.

Yes, and earlier today the 2.8 uMBP was the same price $1699 but they're all gone now. :( My coworker waited too long for the 2.53 and then he tried to get the 2.8 and missed it. Won't be long until they exhaust those prior uMBP systems.

Do they ever come back in stock, or generally, once they are gone - they're gone? I sat too long on the 2.8 uMBP in my cart, and was too late.

It's very hit and miss, you could be waiting a long time, or they could pop up tomorrow, I'd suggest checking the store daily and ordering as soon as the model you're after pops up.

I agree; however, refurbs are replenished regularly, and as long as you keep your eyes open, you should manaage to get one. The MBP is a terrific computer, I have one and it is easily the best computer I have ever had.

Sweet, that's the unibody version of what I have, although you're has a bigger hard drive, you'll love it, the MBPs are awesome machines.

Received my refurb yesterday. It is in pristine condtion, perfect!!
Ran updates on it and that's about it so far. I will post any problems, if any, that I have.
