So..... :eek: just drove by my AT&T store on the way home from work. Already 2 people lined up with 13 hours to go! :eek: I know its normal for the die-hards to get in line way early, but this just makes me even more nervous about getting a phone as I wont be able to get there til about 6am. :(

Any other reports on lines beginning yet in your areas? This is AT&T in Orlando, FL.
 
no line at mine yet but it was confirmed 40 phones there. 10 16gb black, 10 16gb white and 20 8gb. so at 10pm if nobody is there yet im just gonna start the line because i want to make sure i get a 16gb black.

just to get a general idea of whats going to be happening tonight,
if you are waiting in line for the iphone 3G right now,
post the number of other people waiting in line for it.

keep posting as the night goes on,
anyone care to make bets as to which stores have the longest lines?

Where do you live, because that seems like a small quantity of supplied iPhones...


EDIT: nevermind, i'm dumb... i see that you're in long island...
 
his location says long island...and thats a pretty big area i guess...make sure you guys check the apple website to see availability and quantity at your local apple store TONIGHT at 9 PM
 
just went to my att store in ocala fl and was told by the asst manager that they couldnt tell me exact stock, but had less than 40
 
I'm near Nashville,TN(Cool Springs). There were two kids in line at 6am. Now there is 7 of us dumbasses in line. 13 hours to go and I'm gonna be pissed if nobody else shows up. Please tell me there is a line somewhere else.

OMG, just drove by the ATT store in orlando off colonial dr and there was 30 people in line. Wow, 10 more phones and that store is sold out. They told me they are getting 40........
 
Since I own an Iphone already Im w8ing to see just how good the 3G is going to be...My friends phone at work through AT&T (3G) is not much faster and mine is loading full web pages...I live in the fort worth area also so network strong....As for the GPS what a JOKE....No turn by turn??? Worthless until that comes out....

My iphone last couple of days on a full charge...Reports have stated the new phone dies within 1/2 day....I used to have problem with my old PDA...It turns into a nightmare over time and you will get frustrated if this is indeed the case....I guess your can save on the batter turning the 3G off, but then your phone is the same speed as my edge phone...However one difference...Im paying 15 bucks less month : >)
 
AT&T outside the Hanover Mall in Hanover, MA has 3, the sad thing is I know all three of them.
 
Its not just about getting one or not, Its getting one first and the comradery of the people in line...Also, if a store gets 40 per day, they are going to be sold out real quick everyday... Just a lil fyi.
 
I also do not understand why people are lining up...they will have more phones...even if they sell out...they will have more comming tommorrow....unless there really is a shortage....
