I understand the new 10.5 is getting the lions share of the lime light right now, what with it being a new model as such. But is the new 12.9 just as much the beast too?

I'm hyped to see how much improved the new 12.9 is. Side by side the 9.7 pro is much better with color and reflectivity, so if this has been fixed on the larger pro I will be thrilled. 120hz is just the icing on the cake.

But yeah, I have not seen a single 12.9 review yet today.

Mine's coming tomorrow. I'll let you know what a beast it is. I expect it to be pretty awesome. I certainly love the 12.9 I already have.
Mine should hopefully be arriving tomorrow. It's my first iPad for 3 or so years. So I'm pretty excited.

I agree, fir a moment the 10.5 could easily be mistook for the premium device. Although I'm guessing the specs of both machines must be near identical

yep mine arrives thursday

it's a beast with his new power, true tone display and the features on IOS 11 will be massive with the 12.9. True multitasking with the bigger display

Congrats. The 12.9 will be my main upgrade and then I will likely purchase the 10.5 iPad in a few months. But the 12.9 has some promising specifications.

You guys are hurting my feeling as well for others, too for not having a new beast 12.9 iPP! It makes my almost 8 months old iPP feel OLD!

There will be lots of love for the new 12.9! I can't wait until mine arrives. Every improvement the new 10.5 has is present in the 12.9 except for the reduced bezel size. And when iOS 11 goes mainstream and the everyday user realizes what they can do with the extra real estate, sales for the 12.9 will rise sharply.

Both are fantastic tablets. One just has to pick the size/weight based off their own personal needs and then it's all glory from there!

Cause it's too big..
It is very big but it depends on your usage. When in bed yes if you are holding it like a normal 9.7 it's an issue but when it's on the smart keyboard or if you have it standing up next to you in bed It's a great size for being productive.

That said people pick the size that suits them and their needs

My expectations, GFXBench On-Screen tests would be lower than the Pro 10.5 owing to the larger resolution. That said, still going to be an improvement over the 1st gen 12.9. :p

The 10.5" is getting all the love today because it's a brand new size--the 12.9" form factor is not a novelty anymore, but people are super curious if 10.5" is a lot different than 9.7".

HOPING mine will be available for pick-up tomorrow,
Best Buy's website is all over the place lately so I am not sure if they'll stand by the "available Tuesday June 13th" that they said 2 hours ago, as now they say nothing about expected pick-up date and i'm still in Processing stage not "preparing." o_O When I get it i'll share my thoughts though, and maybe post some Geekbench scores and such.

Kallum.

I have a 9.7" and have ordered 12.9". I am only guessing I will like that size, I'm a small female. But once I had an iPad Mini, hated that little size, gave it to a family member, never want to type on my iphone and love my 60" TV. Even tho I'm older, I dont need glasses, so poor eyesight is not the reason. But the 12.9" size sounded like I would like. Of course I am interested in what it offers now and in upcoming IOS 11, just explaining my size choice.

I love my my 1st gen 12.9, but found it a little cumbersome taking to work and traveling. So it stays at home and I grabbed my iPad mini 2 for on the go. So i ordered the 10.5 to replace the mini. Not sure if it will replace my 12.9 at home - we will see!

I've been looking forward to getting the Pro 12.9 but wanted to wait until the product refresh before buying. Getting all these hardware updates (ProMotion and 512GB are the two most important for me, A10X was already expected) along with the iPad-optimized iOS 11 was darned lucky. :D

I just received my 12.9 iPad case and oh my gosh, it's huge. I've kinda forgotten how big it was last time I played with one in the Apple Store. Should be awesome for reading comics. :D
