Are there any windows xp or windows 2000 emulators that will run ok on my 1.42 Mac Mini with 512mb?
iEmulator has been mentioned on MR before.
Just got it, going thru the install, it's been at the Microsoft Windows Pro please wait screen found on the documentation #56 for over an hour. Is that normal for the first time windows xp boots on Iemulator 1.7.7????
Search the forums for 'epepper9' and you will find help.
Here's one of the threads Virtual PC Worth it???
What application are you trying to run that
needs Windows XP.
Perhaps there's an alternative already written for OS X.
if you already have a pc that is always online, VNC is a nice program then. i use it for 4 basic purposes: controling remotely (duh), transfering files from my ibook to PC, controling the mouse of my PC and Mac with only one Mac (i just look at the original screen and control it with my ibook mouse like it's really the PC's mouse), Pulling pranks on my brother when he uses it (i like to have control over it and close all the windows and programs, and pause the movie frequently when he's watching), and finally a very nice alternative to Virtual PC, a computer that is as fast as any other PC, with the only drawback is the picture quality and lagginess of the "monitor".
hmm, maybe get an old P1 PC from ebay or something? for like 100-120$ shipped..
I got a P3 in ebay for 11 pounds (bout 20 dollars) PIII are really good value, they run XP no problem, consume less than P4 etc etc
qhy do you need it?
