Any luck getting SwiftKey/Swype to enter the correct word?

I've only ever used one of those apps on my Android tablet (btw, its battery's been dead for months - I use my iPad and MBP.)

I couldn't get the point of it. It seemed like I could never be very precise without being "slow" about getting my finger from one letter to the next.

I don't swipe as I can't see where to move my finger it would be better on the iPad. but the word fill on swift key is great. I once typed "cry a river build a bridge and get the f@@@ over it" all with one or two letters. it learns as it goes and lets you delete words. emails and such can be brought up.
