Any Mac app for quick menu bar access to clips of text?

Hi so I have many clips of text that I need quick access to (via menu bar), just for reference, not to copy/paste. Just to refer to/read.

Is there any app that has this feature? Must be big sur compatible. Thanks in advance!

Pretty hard to go past the native Notes app. Your question about menu bar access is a little trickier. Obviously you could put it on the dock. In macOS Big Sur you can add it to the Control Centre which is on the Menu Bar. For multiple media types, pictures, text, web links etc it's pretty hard to beat, syncs across devices and has a search function too.

Another thing you can do is add the script menu to the menu bar (by ticking a box in Script Editor preferences). It doesn't have to be used for launching scripts. Any number of text documents can be put in the Scripts folder for quick menu bar access (and folders, aliases, etc).

I found this app Notefile on the Mac app store.. does good work! Check it out for simple menu bar access to notes.. text clips. Minimal utility.

I'll second the recommendation for Tot. It's a nice simple utility. But there are a ton of others available. Search the MAS or MacUpdate.com

In Tot's preferences (little cog, top right) choose Control With: Menu Bar Icon

I would also add a thumbs up to 'Tot'. Kinda of a dumb name and it doesn't do anything particularly special, but for a menu bar notes app it works well.

My clipboard manager of choice is Pastebox. It lives in menubar and have ability to save snippets of text and arrange them in folder.
