I drive a 2005 Mazda 3i sedan. Have had no problems with it and it is a great little car. It is a blast to drive.

I have been a subaru fan for years.
I owned both the WRX and WRX-STI
in addition to a number of Impreza's and outbacks.
It's hard to go wrong with a Subaru but like most model cars every now and then things go wrong.
There are great subaru forums out there.if interested you could join one and do some research

Since 1996 , I've leased 3 normally aspirated Outbacks, and owned 3 Foresters (2 were XT turbos). My latest is the 2007 Outback pictured below. I love these cars. Super reliable, and great in the snow.

2nd subaru outback right now. 2005 Outback Xt turbo... great car. I highly recommend Subarus even if you don't drive in snowy conditions, the AWD is great on plain old pavement. The biggest problem Ive had was with the first one (1996), it blew a head gasket twice. After experiencing that Ive become more religious with the coolant flushes and only use subaru brand coolant. They have redesigned the boxer engine used in subarus since then but Im still paranoid :D

125k on my current one, last one went to 200k even with its little problems.

Good luck shopping!

Can't believe this thread is a year old already. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I ended up buying a certified used 2006 Acura TSX towards the end of last year, and I couldn't be happier.
