Any method for connecting 27" TB to 24" ACD?

As the title suggests, has anyone successfully done this?

Looking to connect it to my 15" 2011 MBP.

I've googled and can't find anything definitive.

Alas, it cannot be done as you cannot connect an Apple Cinema Display to an Apple Thunderbolt Display.

You may have to put another TB device in the chain between the 24" ACD and 27" TBD. I recall this from a bulletin I saw somewhere.

Anandtech.com was able to connect the ATD to his 2011 Macbook Pro, then put a Pegasus Raid (I believe) then the ACD. Something about the Pegasus RAID allowed the video signal to be separated from the data stream for the ACD (I believe?).

Sheesh. I should just sell te 24" as it's useless and I should save up for TB second display.

Yeah the cheapest Thunderbolt device with Thunderbolt pass thru is the Seagate Desktop. I believe by the time you add cable that will cost you around $200 (without drive).

Thanks for this. I reckon that I might buy it anyways because I don't want to sell my 24" for squat and then a TB for almost a grand.

I'm just going to sell the 30". There aren't any great solutions out there right now!
