Noooo!!

Good news: My Modern Buckle has finally arrived!
Bad news: I ordered a large, the box says large but the band is a MEDIUM!!!
:mad::mad:

Another forum said the Apple Store is doing band replacements. Might be able to get yours sorted out. Good luck

Thanks. I'm in meetings for the next few hours, but then I'll be on the phone with Apple. Gives me a chance to calm down before I call. :(

Yeah I haven't seen any small's ship, and thats what my wife got.

Maybe next week is the week.

Hmm that for sure means mediums will move early next week **for pink ones

I'm so hoping this is true! I bounce back and forth between two cities, and just updated my delivery address (with no change in delivery window, although I did hold my breath when I pressed the Update button!) to the one where I'll be early next week. Wishing, wishing, wishing!

There is either a ton more ordering of these going on or they really are having serious problems producing those bands because the ship dates are slipping further and further away for the Modern Buckle watches on apple.com

I keep checking because I want a Modern Buckle band and I'll order one as soon as they're available to order. Which looks like it might not be until my birthday (in the fall) at this rate.

Oy.

ETA: Just the midnight blue moved out. The black and brown moved up a week, but the pink still sucks.

Not sure where you see that on apple.com?? The black modern is available to ship in 2-3 weeks and some of the others Are in 5. The only one that is July is the pink modern and that has not changed since the day of preorder.

Modern buckle for 42mm

Just off the topic for a bit...
I really like the modern buckle but I have a 42mm SS (with link bracelet)
I heard that modern buckle use the same connector as classic

Is that possible to take the band off the modern buckle and put on to a 42mm classic connector?

Thanks and hope you guys get the watch ASAP!

Modern buckle only comes in the 38 size. So I am pretty certain the pins used are too small for a 42 . The classic buckle comes in both a 38 and 42 size.

He's talking about removing the lug from the classic buckle on the 42mm, and moving the lug over to the modern buckle band so that his 38mm modern buckle band fits on the 42mm lug.

I think that should definitely be possible, however, you will have a thinner strap on the 42mm lug so it may not sit right. Your watch may slide around because it has extra space on that 42mm lug now.

The band is too expensive to risk an experiment in my opinion, but it should be doable.

Imo that would just look odd!

Oy.

I checked yesterday and the shipping time was 4 to 6 weeks for all modern buckles on the Apple Store. Today they are all changed to 2-3 weeks. The bands still show as unavailable. This is on the Canadian Apple Store.

In the US, pink is out until July. Black is 2-3 weeks, blue in 5-6 weeks, and brown in 3-4 weeks.

I wonder if the variability is due to supply vs demand being skewed from apple's estimates or trouble with the dye process.

All but the pink were 4-6 weeks just the other day.

The black has improved, but it is also the one that has shipped the most.

The midnight blue has moved back by a week.

Oh... the brown also improved... it's at 3-4 weeks now.

I guess it was just the midnight blue that shifted back. I was thinking the brown did also.

It was just a quick glance. I still think these bands are taking longer than they thought.

Wow. Even the pink? That's interesting.

Sorry checked again. My bad. Black, all sizes ship 2-3 weeks, pink says July, blue says 5-6 weeks, brown says 3-4 weeks.

It's now over 5 weeks since I ordered my watch and there are 9 days left in my shipping window. Yesterday I banned myself from checking my order status throughout the day...lasted about 5 minutes and then I furiously kept refreshing the page for the whole day. I even pulled out my sports band that has already arrived and played with putting it on my wrist and holding it in place for about 10 minutes.

Yep. I think I've hit rock bottom.

I thought it was just me!!!!!
I was the only one trying to wing back from continuously checking to see if I have been charged or if my watch has shipped. I even check it in my sleep! That's pretty sad right?
