    AT&T?

They count as texts, if you have a text plan. Otherwise, $.25 each.

Included in regular texting plans, just like every other phone AT&T has.

It's be nice, but I'm currently at the $5 for 200 messages. Hence, why I wonder if mms messages may count as more than one regular message. Seems to be not, so here's to hoping.

The question is, what are they going to do to those who don't have the messaging plans? Still the $0.30/msg? They haven't said.

    Yes they have.

MMS and SMS will both be the exact same thing. You have a certain number of 'messages' not a number of SMS or MMS, but messages.

Well, when I looked it said nothing about people w/o messaging plans.

Correct - it was in a PDF FAQ that AT&T had posted back in June, but that seems to have disappeared. This is from another FAQ on AT&T's site:

You're quoting stuff that proves my point. It says nothing about people without the bundle. THAT is my point.

Edit: And I know it'll probably be the same as other MMS on other phones. I'm hoping so.

Interesting that it says "or a data package." Could it possibly be true that MMS would be cheaper with an iPhone? Doubtful, but an interesting bit of text (that will probably change).

My response wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the OP to answer his question.

I worked for AT&T for a couple of years. An MMS message would only count as one message, not four, unless you sent it to four people of course. If you go over your 200 message package then you would be charged on a per message basis. You have nothing to worry about.:D

Common sense would tell me if AT&T is implementing MMS as part of SMS (counts as 1 txt), the it would be a safe assumption that if you don't have a plan and you sent an MMS, it would be whatever an SMS would cost you. That's just a guess from the info I read here in this thread.

    :)

Sorry, I couldn't tell. Anyway, I'm probably wondering about nothing, since I'm sure it'll be just like the other phones. They just only mentioned that one thing about MMS for the iPhone and left off what they'd do for when you don't have a plan. We'll see in a few weeks.
