I currently have a 15" rMBP, and am considering picking up a maxed 12" MBP, just for the convenience of being so portable.

So for you guys who have, or considered downsizing, what are the pros and cons.

Thank you
M

Moved from an i7 16gb 756gb 2012 MBP to a Macbook 2016 m5,8gb,512gb.

Haven't regretted it a second, its runs windows 10 in parallels perfectly well (need this for my job), and love the new keyboard, so much faster for me, like touch typing on a iPad.

You might as well try it and see for yourself for a week, worse case you have a 14 days return period.

Ditto.....

Love the size, no problem with performance for my work needs.

Just downsized from a 15 that I bought a few days ago. Returned it the day after I had to carry it around for a day. This thing is incredible so far. Installed QuickRes and LOVING it.

Try traveling around with that. Did a month long vacation traveling around Japan lugging that MBP around from train to train and hiking around. Never again i'll bring something that heavy.

I have a 15-inch rMBP that I keep on my desk, connected to a CalDigit TB2 dock and 28-inch Samsung 4K monitor. The rMB has become my travel buddy and what I use when I'm moving around the house; the 15 is pretty much turned in to a "desktop" now.
