This looks interesting, though it's the first I've heard of it/them:

http://bitemyapple.co/products/radius

Seems like a kickstarter success. Any opinions/experience regarding quality, protection, signal loss, pocketability, catchability (my term for its likeliness to get caught on things in a pocket/briefcase/pocketbook etc)?

I have to admit I'm tempted to get one because it looks good. I just don't see what it offers besides being able to put it on a surface like a table and not have the back scratch.

They do have some. Ice looking product though for reasonable prices.

**Edit**

This is a stupid question, but can this case still work when using Apple Pay? Is it possible it will interfere with the NFC bands?

I'm also curious about this case, which I just saw in a Yahoo article. I'd be most concerned about the X part of the design scratching the back of the phone, but in a couple of older threads, they say that it does not come into contact with the phone. If that's the case, then I can foresee other problems, such as putting it in my pocket and having it get caught on stuff or bending.

Anyway, it says it ships this week, so I'd be curious to hear real-world stories of its use.

Dont say i didnt warn you

I received my Gold Radius V2 Mod-3 bikini-thong-wedgie case on WEDNESDAY!..
and I will say..
that I do "NOT" RECOMMEND this case..
it took me about 2 got'damn hours just to get the upper right corner screwed in correctly..!!! it wouldnt sink in like the other 3 did..
First thing i did was make sure that it wasnt a bad screw.. so what i did was take the 2 bottom corners off.. then i was able to get the upper right corner in..
but then i couldnt get either of the 2 bottom corners back on..
After much frustration.. I put the two bottom corners in AND the camera corner in before placing it on the phone.. I basically had to self manuever it on with 3 corners attached!
Luckily..I bought a full-body skin to protect the corners or else those corners would be scratched and damamged. From my understanding, it seems that the added thickness from the vinyl skin was why it wasnt lining up correctly with the hole.. Those screws are super-super small..
I must've dropped the screw 7 or 8 times and probably wasted atleast 20 minutes in total, looking for it..
Needless to say I got the damn thing on after 2 hours..
but dont get me wrong, the case looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING..!!!
and...
I've already dropped the phone, unintentionally of coarse, on concrete the very first night i had it on..
Some of you know exactly how my reaction was...
its that feeling u get when u think ur phone is shattered even before u pick it up... but..
low and behold..it held up to its drop protection..
So though the corners are protected, the case wont protect your screen, so yesterday i ordered a clear shield from PerfectFitTech.com to protect the front.. they have a lifetime guarantee policy so if the phones clear shield shatters, they will send one free of charge.. its $40 but thats nothing compared to replacing the screen itself if any more mishaps or drops occur in the future..
This is an iphone 6 Plus..
its a big phone..
and its even bigger when u pile an otterbox on it...
So while some are calling it a thong/bikini case or whatever..
I'd rather have a slim bikini than have a case thats makes u look like you have a saggy @$$ diaper in your back pocket..
The otterbox fits that description perfectly..and that is not for me..
I managed to get my screw attachments all in..
i dont think many others will be so lucky..
i like the case.. i like the feel..
BUT.. I'm pretty much stuck with the "wood-look".. because I am not willing to spend more agonizing hours trying to do this again, that is definitely why i will never recommend this case to anyone! Ever.
you've been warned.

I find it interesting that a lot of people complained about how the antenna bands ruined the aesthetics of the back of the 6, but here is a case that make it look like the bands run across the back of the phone in an hourglass configuration. At least that's how it looks from the photos.

I read somewhere that if pressure is applied at the intersection of the X it is transmitted to the corners where the X meets the corner pieces. The pieces are pressed into the back of the phone leaving a crescent shaped mark in the plastic antenna strip. There is little or no padding between the corner piece and the, softer than aluminum, plastic joint. unless that's been fixed this case damages the phone.

Here's the link to the review:

It really helps with one handed use on my 6+. The 'X' on the back gives you something to grab with your fingers while you type with your thumb.

As far as protection goes, it has saved my phone from a 2 ft drop on to tile when my two year old pulled it off the counter in the bathroom. Landed right on the corner and I'm pretty sure the screen would've been gone if it was naked.

for all those who own this

....can anyone confirm if this still scratches the corners of the phone or an other part of the antenna strip, as indicated in previous reviews??

This....

I am all but ready to pull the trigger on this and through a slickwrap wood skin on my plus and call it a day.

Not cheap tho...

Just ordered the "All Polished" from Tekcases. Hopefully it's a good one.

Nice. Be sure to post pics once you get it. What color phone?

Also, why order from Tekcases as opposed to their website? Any advantages of one over the other?

I had this case on my 6+ for about a week. I can confirm if you do not over tighten the screws that it will NOT leave any kind of mark anywhere on the phone - at least the one I got didn't. I never dropped the phone so I cannot comment on the drop protection, but I can comment on the feel. The edges are certainly sharp and frequently got snagged on my pants/shorts pockets. Ultimately, I did not like the feel of the case in the hand and really couldn't justify the price for what I got so I ended up returning it.

I have the space grey iPhone 6. I was debating between the "All Slate" and "All Polished". I should have it by the end of the week, I'll post pics once I get it installed. I actually ordered it from the Tekcases Ebay store, thinking if I decided to return it at least I can go through the Ebay return process and be somewhat protected.

Was waiting on update and your thoughts on the case! Did you receive it and do you recommend? Pics?

Sorry for the delayed review but USPS took about a week to deliver a 2-day priority mail shipment and I decided to use it for a week to give a better review. I ended getting the "All Slate" instead of the "All Polished".

The packaging was very minimalistic, it included 1 additional screw and a hex tool. The tool is very awkward to use cause of how thin it is. I installed the case in about 5 minutes without any issue, it took a little longer because I have a clear coat protector on my phone. It was easy enough, just follow the instructions (leave the two bottom and unscrew the top).

The case feels very premium, no cheap thin aluminum feeling here. The black color also seems like it will last for awhile. The edges are sharp but I never had a problem with it catching on my clothes. At first, the feel was very awkward because of the elevated "X" on the back of the phone but after a day or so you get used to it. I think the case will provide a decent level of protection, I dropped it about 4 feet... it bounced off my kitchen counter and onto my hardwood floor. There was no damage to the phone.

My biggest issue with the case is that it seems to affect the signal just a little bit. Normally thats not an issue but I have very poor signal at work and I can see the phone switching to 3G frequently.

Overall the case is great, probably one of the best looking cases I've ever had. But due to the signal issues, I have put it up for sale on Ebay. Here are some pictures also.

I forgot to mention that the camera opening is a little small. It barely fits over the flash. However, I took a few pictures using flash and it didn't seem to affect the pictures.

I ordered a black and red one and I got to say I like it a lot! I have been using for a few days and I don't think you can find anything more minimal and unique looking! It is scary having it on bare iPhone cause I think it may scratch the phone over time so I took it off and ordered a naked wrap from ********** then it's going back on over the wrap. I am trying to liquidate a few cases then I think I am going to make the leap and purchase the titanium version ($249) and my case search will be finally over!
