Hi everyone.

I'm not sure if this is the right subforum for this. If not, please move it.

Are there any other insurance options besides AppleCare available in your countries, and if so, do you use them?

We got our devices covered through our retailer, which, as I understand it, works similarly to AppleCare and has been rated very highly by independent testing organizations. Our printer was recently replaced without any problems.

I have a Chase VISA which adds 1 year of warranty to products purchased with the card. For free. Does not cover damage, though.

Some internet/phone corporations offer protection. I live in Ohio and and my internet and phone company is Spectrum and they offer protection.

insurance options besides AppleCare
For what risks?
Theft: My home contents insurance includes some cover against loss of portable items (laptops, cameras, etc,) when outside the home as well as loss of non-portable items (e.g. iMac) stolen from the home.
Accidental damage: I don't insure for that (i.e. I carry the risk) but could probably get something from home insurance if it was beyond my excess. Otherwise AppleCare is the simple solution.
Fault repairs: In Australia there are protections for some years under our consumer law - the retailer is required to rectify unforeseen problems for a "reasonable" number of years. Many retailers push their own "extended warranty" which is also a form of insurance against faults - in my view, seldom worth the money given our consumer protections.
Also some credit cards provide a level of insurance for items purchased with them - I am vague about exactly what.
