I am a recreational diver since many years. My first computer was a Suunto D9. Finally it was to big for my wrist to use it as a regular watch.

Now I have a Suunto EON with air integration and quite happy. I transfer each dive with Macdive / DiveLog and have a digital log.

For me an AWU for diving is no option, after the EON the screen seems to be small, no air integration, quite expensive subscription model for needed data etc. So, if I would by, I would still stick to the EON for diving.

The app is now out. There's a good review here.

The limit is downright dangerous. The watch can do 100m. The app is limited to 40m. Fair enough, it's aimed at rec divers. Last trip I dive a wreck at 35m. Getting close to 40m is unusual, but not impossible. If you exceed 40m, the watch just displays a warning screen.

Here's the dangerous thing. It stops functioning. When you come back above 40m, all it displays is depth and bottom time. No NDL, no dec time, nothing. And it remains that way for 24 hours de-sat time.

I'm OK with the app not showing data below it's advertised limit. But when you come back inside it's operational range, it should go back to being a fully functional computer.
