Any Performance Difference Between (1) 2GB RAM Chip or (2) 1GB RAM Chips?

Pretty much exactly what my title asks. I have the opportunity to stick (1) 2 GB RAM chip into my Core Solo Mac Mini or keep the (2) 1GB RAM chips that are already in there. Anyone have an answer to this one?

    Thanks.

Paralleled RAM is probably going to be better than one 2GB stick. I'd say keep it the way it is.

The Dual 1 GB chips will likely be faster because of Dual Channeling, but it wouldn't likely be very noticeable.

Either way, I'll have 2 GB, it's either going to be one chip or two equaling 2 GB. I was just wondering if there is an advantage of having two equal amounts of RAM in each slot or if it is more convenient and efficient for the computer to have it all in one slot?

The memory can be addressed via dual channels, so 2 slots with matched modules are slightly faster than 1 slot with the same amount of RAM. Don't waste your money changing what you already have.
