Any photographers out there?

If any of you guys (and gals) are photographers (enthusiasts, pros, etc.) I'd strongly suggest taking a look at PhotoCalc. I've been trying it out the past couple of days and it has a lot of great features (depth of field calculator, reciprocity calculator, flash exposure, sunrise/sunset calculator, glossary, etc.). Well worth the $2.99 IMO.

I'll have to check it out. Right now I'm just shooting with a Sony H9 megazoom (nothing like being able to go from 28-790mm with a 1.7x tele converter). I see a Nikon D90 in my future though.

I've been curious about this app, but don't like spending money on any of them if I can help it.
I see there's already an update to it, though, so at least it seems like the developer is actively working on it.
Quick question, I looked through the screenshots and on the reference page, it only lists half a dozen categories/sections. Have you heard if there are plans to add more to that section? I already know the Sunny f/16 Rule, but would love to have more quick "rules" like that for reference in the app.
It'd be great if there was a way to incorporate a wiki page in the app for users to add their own tips like that, but I imagine it could get messy really fast and would either require constant moderation, which probably isn't feasible.

I'm considering it, though, $2.99 really isn't too bad. Doesn't seem like the flash exposure section can work with multiple light sources though, which may or may not be a turn off for some folks

I have a D80 and I love it. The picture quality (most of the time) is just as good as my D200. I can't wait to see what improvements the D90 brings.

From what I can tell while I've been using it you can only set the flash exposure calculation for one light source. Multiple sources would be a nice thing to see in an update, though.

For those that are interested I've posted a full review of PhotoCalc on my site if you want more in-depth info and to see some screen shots. To sum it up, though, the interface is rather intuitive and there's enough variety in the feature set that there should be something for everyone. There are other apps out there that do only part of what this app does and they cost $.99 or $1.99, so I think it's a bargain at $2.99 with all of the additional features.

Why do you seeing the Canon EOS 50D's being sold out so you have to settle for a Nikon? :D (Couldn't resist! - Hey, at least its not Mac vs PCs!!!)

I just like the controls of the Nikons better. Plus my grandpa, a former WWII Army photographer and D80 user has a plethora of f/2.8 lenses that he'll let me use anytime. That 50D is tempting though, and if I went with it, the body would be more but I'd probably save on glass. I guess maybe I'll wait until DPReview has reviews of both out.
