Any program to edit subtitles on OS X?

    That's my request. Pretty simple. What's the best solution out there? Basically I need something to edit fps and to move all the text a little bit (let's say, changing the start time, if that makes sense…).

    TextEdit might work with SRT files quite well if you work in PLAIN TEXT mode (CMD+SHIFT+T).
    And VLC Player can be used to play a subtitle with different parameters and such.

    Thanks but that's not what I requested.

    Not a big fan of Java, but I will give it a look. It seems to cover my needs. Thanks.

    Only two I've found in the cheap OSX category are Jubler and Subs Factory.

    I've used Subler in the past and it's been good. I recommend giving it a look.
