I've been looking into getting my first Apple computer and I feel like I'd just be spending 2,000 dollars for a Mac theme and have to swap from Sony Vegas to Final Cut Pro and thats about it. Ya I know "studio" is for professionals. Buuuuuut... Really scratching my head what most people would get out of it since we all already have a computer that can get the job done already. I'm assuming most people are just buying these new Macs out of boredom. I legit want one but I already have a computer that can do things.

I have a 3950x with a 3080Ti that i use mainly for work (photo and video) and of course a lot of gaming.

I ordered the Studio because i want to work on a Mac Os system (alongside my ipad and iPhone when i am away) and save the electricity bill because frankly, keeping my pc on 12 hours a day is becoming very expensive and hot during summer!

Wait till next-gen, lol. UK energy prices are hilarious at the moment, about to have the largest standard of living drop since the 1950's.

yep... same in italy i think!

I think i will like the Studio a lot, specially during the hot summer where my pc is killing me sometimes with the amount of heat that produces!

There is always a benefit of the doubt.
If you can afford it, and looking for some nugget – you can get it.
But the drawback is that you'll need to purchase a new licence for abovementioned software

You could at least provide some information.

What is your current PC?
What software do you run?
What do you need?

Well personally am buying one so can replace my hackintosh.
Already on fcp x for what I do and the ProRes encoder/decoder should make easier to work with.
Plus no need to mess about keeping the hack working.

However if happy with the computer you got and does what you need it too then don’t see any reason to spend the money.

It’s a tool for doing work. Life’s too short to use Windows IMHO.

I have a 16 GB mini and the CPU/GPU are fine. What I'd like about a Studio is that it can drive more displays and is available with 32 GB of RAM. I really can't justify the Studio though as I don't need the power - and this is with the base system.
