Need one for an iPad Pro and see there’s some cheap ones on Amazon. I have the official Lightning to SD one and It’s fine. Tempted to try a cheap one but honestly speed is top priority here over cost (image sizes are large).

Maybe there’s a chance some 3rd party ones are even better than Apples? If they’re all the same I’ll just grab a cheap one though.

eg. Anker

From what I can gather, it seems they may have similar speeds. I find it difficult to find an actual number for speed for the official Apple one. The only thing that throws a bit of a flag for me is that on the Anker one you have linked there is no mention of UHS-II but has the 5Gbps in the details, while the Apple one does specifically state UHS-II. Now that could just be an error I am not sure.

I personally use the Apple one that I just use between the Mac and iPad Pro. I really don't think there would be too much difference in speed with the claim that Anker has, that UHS thing was the only eye-catching difference.

Thanks! Yes I also find it a bit suspect when details like that aren’t openly stated as they’re good selling points. I’m the end I played it safe and forked out for the official one. Couldn’t find any good info on this around!
