I'm debating whether I want to splurge another $130 on Apple's Folio case (I've grown fond of not having to carry a thin wallet just for my ID and one/two credit cards).

Does anyone have a really good experience with folio cases (whether it's on Amazon or through another site)? Apple's cases aren't bad, but I don't like their quality too much. The rubber (?) linings easily come off with minimal use, and the color choices this time around are either eggplant or black.

Im looking at the Burkley detachable case. The best of both worlds. I travel for a living and the ability to keep the phone protected by the folio and the ability to detach the phone to use on my motorcycle mount is fantastic.

Burkley detachable case

Ive seen a few like this so I’ll keep looking but having the option to very quickly change from folio to just a case is great.

Just discovered these by HEX (they sell this brand in Apple Stores as well):

Detachable phone case AND detachable wallet.

Thanks for this, gone ahead and ordered using the 10% off newsletter code so £87 in total

I bought the Overture folio case from Moshi for my iPhone X and loved it. They just came out with new ones for the 11 models. I just got something inexpensive to get me by until the Moshi Overture case comes in. This one looks a little different from the X model.

I had a Mous.co wallet and case for my XS Max and really liked it but I wanted the wallet to work as a stand, which it didn't. I just saw that they have redesigned it, and I am ordering for sure their new 3.0 Flip Wallet and Limitless 3.0 case. I really like the quality of their products and in my opinion, they look great.

Just received my Burkley Folio/wallet case and I must say I’m very impressed with the quality. To start the packaging was very nice!
Magnets hold the phone in the case very securely and also holds it closed as well.

it is also slim with the case only which is the main reason I purchased this. I can use the wallet feature for daily use and when I home on the bike for a ride I can pop the case only into my mount on my bike.
Works like a charm and fits great!!

I'm a huge fan of the Apple Folio. The leather quality is pretty incredible, it activates the sleep/wake function, but most importantly, your cards can't easily fall out. Instead of the cards slotting in vertically, the slot is on the side, horizontally, so you don't have to worry about them falling out. Plus you can stick a ton of cards in it and it will still stay closed by itself.

Ye how about the sleep/wake function on non Apple folio cases? Does it work?
Most do not offer that. I read that the new twelve south book book does, but i tried about 10 with my XS Max and none did (Speck, BookBook, Burkely, Vaja, Doc Artisan, Mous, etc.)

Does anybody here have experience with the Bellroy 3-card case? Maybe from previous years? I don’t know if I like the open button cutouts, but apart from that it seems nice. Bellroy is supposed to be good quality. I have never had any of their products though.

I had the Apple folio case for my X. I would really like it for the 11 Pro as well, but the price is a bit too much.

I am also considering the Mujjo leather wallet case. Not a big fan of the branding on the back though.

I had one for my XS Max. I liked it although I really never used it. I had a bit of a problem with the XS Max and ordered a lot of cases. Luckily I was able to sell almost all of them. The open buttons wasn't a problem for me. It was easy to press in the power button and I thought it looked nice. The case felt slim even though it had a large back side. I was easily able to place in a couple of cards and an emergency $20 bill in the slot on the back. What I didn't like was that the stand feature didn't seem to work because of the weight of the large phone. Maybe they resolved that issue. I have a few items (sling, wallet) from Bellroy and recommend them as a quality company.
