Hi guys I don't remember where but I read there was a possibility they would bring back the Apple logo light (on the back of the LCD).

1. Have you heard the same rumor?
2. Rumors about the back of the logo light by earliest in 2019?

I tried searching for that rumor, which I also read at one point about it returning, but I could not find any results. Once Apple usually removes certain features, they don’t usually likely return. I doubt the Apple logo light will return.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I really like the new stainless steel logos. They're a little flashy without being too obnoxious, and seem a little bit more modern. The light up ones were great, but after 17 years it was nice to have a change.

I feel the same, it was good but it was a bit too tacky.

It's gone, and it's not coming back. The rumor was completely made up to begin with.

Yes, I liked the lite-up Apple logo, but I think it is gone for good. Too bad. Understand that a change may be necessary, but some things that are good do not need to be changed.

Either logo is fine--but I wish they would ditch the touch bar, butterfly keys, and oversize trackpads. I"d even settle for them dropping the touch bar. Awful input devices, worse than even the 1998 hockey puck mouse.

For those of you who miss the logo and boot chime:

You can safely replace the charging audio file with a file of the boot chime audio, so every time you plug in your charger, it will chime. There is no risk and its easy.
