Hi,

Just wondering if the Jan 2009 or 'early 09' models have the same freezing/beachball issues the 'late 2009' models have?

I've had 3x15"MBPs and 1x17" MBPs (all June 2009) that had the freezing/SATA issues so I'm keen to avoid these problems.

The Refurb Store has a Jan 09 model that is calling out to me!

Can anyone confirm that I won't have any SATA issues with this model? Will I easily be able to swap out the HDD without any compatibility issues?

Thanks.

17" MacBook Pros (Early 2009 or Mid 2009) have no known issues related to EFI or Serial ATA.

Sneakz - the would be encouraging had I not just returned my 4th June '09 MBP due to the EFI/SATA issues (3 x 15" and 1 x 17").

Any one else got an opinion on this?

my 17 is perfect and has had no problem with an SSD or 7200RPM hdd that I installed before.
