Are there any smaller gpus just for plunging in 2 monitors I have i have 5770 in there now but i also have NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 anything in that small factor but is as good as 5770

Thanks

Single slot 460s are available, but I think the drivers have changed sufficiently in 10.12.4 to prevent it working properly? Or is that just Polaris 10 that's broken?

So, when you say smaller, do you mean shorter? As we've all given you 1 slot recommendations and you don't seem to want that..?

@max001, did you correctly understand terms "single slot" or "dual slot" design?

Fig.E is tricky. It's single slot or single bracket. But, the photo shows a protruding heatsink, which effectively takes up two slots once inside the computer.

So, Fig.E is a fake single slot design, which buyers are not readily aware of until they put it in their PC and find out the cold hard fact.

There has been surprisingly little discussion here about the new Radeon Pro cards from AMD. This recent launch, the Radeon Pro WX 7100, features 10 bit cards with 8GB RAM and performance equal to an RX480 in a single slot design:

They are also rated at 130W compared to 150W for the RX480.

They are pricier though, at around $650. Still... some pro features with 10bits in pro apps and so on. Also... with the Radeon Pro naming of the gfx in the latest Macbook Pro, I was wondering if these cards are pretty much compatible out of the box. At least on the level of the RX480s?

Successor of the GT 120 is GT 630, but I guess to weak for your applications.

I would recommend a GTX 960 4GB: http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=8

Yes, I went with the 960 4GB last year: http://www.evga.com/Products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=c7bd6671-43f0-480b-bf91-a47e0885de56, I've had Zero problems in a 1,1 running 10.10.5, just got FLAME 2018 and it runs great!! Big recommendation for this particular model, all you need is a 6-pin converter and Cuda and Nvidia drivers and your good to go with no flashing...of course you don't get the boot screen but this card fires up so fast you won't miss it...as you can tell I can't recommend it enough and it's even cheaper this year due to the 10XX releases!!
