macOS Any standard for creating your app's Help-docs?

I'm wondering if you're left to your own devices when you design your apps help-documents, or if there is some inbuilt api that lets you construct a similar document-type that most apps by apple uses (ie. itunes, etc)?

I've been searching a while for any input on the subject, but any string with the words "help + documents" for apparent reasons only returns links to help docs - not info on how to appropriately set them up 😛

I think you want "Introduction to Apple Help Programming Guide".

My Google search to find it was: site:developer.apple.com help html
