I really want to upgrade but trying to hold out until this SE2 is released, in saying that my 7+ is fast enough, I got a new battery in it last month, the only thing really lacking is the camera is quite crap in low light when compared to today's phones.

Yep, terrible experience... waiting for se and hoping for 4gigs of ram...

Just bought a brand new 128GB 7 Plus few months back. It's still smooth phone, but it does feel warm/heating up at times when playing games. Other than that, the A10 is a great chip and I'm sure Apple will continue supporting it for at least another two years, if not longer. It is still being used in the regular iPad. So as a current 7 owner, I don't feel it being "slow" in regular use.

If you have the budget though, the iPhone 9 will surely destroy the 7 in every way, especially with the much more efficient A13. The A13 will also bring features like smart HDR.

I used a 7 as my primary personal phone up until last month when it was shifted to being my primary school phone, still getting regular daily usage. It’s a fantastic little phone that does everything I need of a phone; I just gave in to my inner consumerism and got myself a used Xs about a month ago when my wife got herself an 11. Otherwise, I’m still quite happy with the performance and usability of my 7!

My high school son is using my old 7 Plus and it's fine but I'll probably upgrade him to the 9/SE (if it comes in a Plus size) or something else affordable. Maybe a used Xr.

Checking in - 7 plus since release. On second replacement battery. It's starting to feel a little slow and glitchy. If there's a 9 Plus I'm in, if not I'll see the year out and see what iphone 12 series brings. If OLED only and PWM is still a factor then I'll switch to Android regrettably.

Using a 7 for 3 years. Had it replaced around 18 months in on applecare+ (last one completely died). I like the size and it does most of what I want. I'm excited to see the new SE, I have camera envy for my wifes newer phone but I don't want a huge phone. I think I will try and hold out until the 12 is released for the rumored smaller premium phone

Still rocking my 7+ here. Depending on this and September my plan is to do one of the following:

a) Buy a 12 in September
b) Buy this 9/SE in September
c) Hold on to my 7+ until 9/21

Still using the 7. Tried out the 11, but ist was too big and fat. Didn’t liked the feeling in the hands. Also tried out the XS, but it gave me headache. So I’m still on my 7 since 2017 and felt in love with it again after the trouble with the 11 and Xs. the Size am the weight is perfect for me

I’m using a 7, now 3 years old, which is the longest I’ve ever kept a phone. I’ve had one battery replacement, but the battery is pretty bad again. I also find it laggy on iOS 13 (shoulda stayed on 12!). Definitely looking forward to an upgrade but am tempted to hold out to the rumored 5.4” iPhone 12.

I have an iPhone7 and surprisingly the battery is holding up quite well
Waiting for a small forum factor iPhone with known proven 5G support
current phone seems to do everything i need.

crews here are installing 5G towers just now
current neighborhood 4G coverage has always been spotty

I was using an iPhone 7 Plus a few weeks ago, but the battery life was poor and I had enough of it and purchased a Max.

i actually downgraded from the iPhone 8 Plus i was using because it got water damage and apple wanted $400 for the fix, seeing i missed my rose gold 7 plus i decided to rebuy one and I'm happier with this than my 8

I moved from my 7 Plus (GSM) because I needed a better battery. I got a 7 (CDMA/GSM) off Swappa to try it out Verizon but I traded it into AT&T for $700 off an 11 Pro Max. Got more in trade in than I paid. It was a good deal.

Still have my 7 Plus though. I loved that Jet Black color. Still do.

After I broke my 8 a couple months ago I used my 7 as a backup until I got the screen fixed (which I did myself but that is another story). I was surprised how well it performed and even how much better it felt in the hand than the 8. One negative note is that even when new the 7 always had sub-par battery life. This 7 has a pretty new battery, but it drained much faster than my 8. This was actually my 3rd 7 as the first one had a really bad battery issue where it would drain completely in about 12 hours even with a fresh install and in airplane mode! The second 7 was decent, but got some water damage. The 3rd 7 I only used a few months before I got a really good deal on an 8.

I'm still using my 6 Plus every day on iOS 9. Original battery too (95 ish% health, 1925 loadcycles).
I own a 7 and an 8 on iOS 13.4 but rarely use them except when a particular website won't load. I never use the 7 except as a Bluetooth display.

Can I ask, why did you buy a 7 and an 8 if you were happy with the 6s?

The Se2 (4.7") would feel small going from your 7+ no ? Or you're hoping for a plus version of the Se2 ?

Just bought a iPhone 11 to replace my 7 today. I loved the 7 but it was slowing down a lot and it had a bunch of stupid problems. The battery also sucked.

I'm not, but one of my friends is using a 7+ and has been doing so for 3.5 years. He told me he likes it and plans to keep on using it for probably another year or 2.
