hi all just purchased the MacBook late 2016 the app store is rubbish has usuall was wondering if any thing like moviebox is available for MacBook or some other kind of store to download or anything alternative so i can use my MacBook more rather than just searching safari which i do on my iMac

You can install Mac apps directly from developers. It's not as closed as iOS.
 
The Mac app Popcorn Time is similar to Moviebox.

You can download and install apps outside the App Store, but you have to be careful you don't install anything with malware. Article here will help you.
 
popcorn time has no download option i wonted to be able to download the film then watch later on plane
