I am drawn between X1 Extreme, T480s, X1C6 and X1 Yoga Gen 3. Any suggestion? I need lightweight (below 1.8kg, the ligher the better), higher resolutions than FHD, at least 8 hours of battery life, no heat nor noisy fan thermal issues, ability to drive external 4K TV at 60Hz with Chroma 4:4:4 without heat nor noisy fan issue, linux compatibility. I use it mainly for doing productivity Office work, Youtube, browsing the web.

Why not just get the X1 Extreme and test it out yourself? You can return it for a full refund and try another model if it doesn't satisfy all your needs. I think you have some specific things you are looking for that won't necessarily be answered by reading other people's reviews.

Seems like you've been on the fence for a while. Just go with something and get the answers you are looking for.

I am not a Thinkpad expert but I have had my Thinkpad for about 2 months now. Today I ran it on all battery power - had office applications open and actively working on them, live streamed about 3 1/2 hours of shows, transferred some files, and surfed the web on it with battery performance on "Better performance" on Win 10 and the screen brightness at 80% and it lasted me 7:45 mins on a charge. I have not tested it without live streaming and just regular web usage maybe watching an occasional you tube video or two. I think that is pretty fantastic battery life given the tasks and brightness.

I have had to learn a few things in Windows 10, but I have enjoyed the experience. I will admit I did pick up a base rose gold 2017 12 inch MacBook to compliment my iPhone and fill in the gaps. I have also enjoyed the Mac, and likely will give my husband my iPad Pro. I love the note taking ability, but I continue to gravitate to traditional clamshells.

Hope this helps.

Is it easy to get full refund from Lenovo?

I recall another forum member made the same suggestion because I keep hearing conflicting information.

Unfortunately, from reaing their return policy, you can return the product within 30 days but then they add a 15% restocking fee.

If you order from a different country other than the US the circumstances might be different. Best to call their support.

That is exactly what I did, so I would have to second this advice :)

Are you sure about that? I was told by the sales rep and have it in "writing" (copy of the chat transaction) that it could be returned within 30 days for a full refund.

That's what I read from their website regarding their return policy. Seemed weird, which is why I suggested he/she reach out to Lenovo and ask. Good to see they have a full refund policy.

I found that on their website too. I guess if it came down to it and decided to make a return and they tried to charge a restocking fee, I would use the transcript from the chat to leverage a full return via my bank and cc company.

Edit: It appears maybe the return policy has been updated for 5 units or less vs more than 5 units...

" Customer may return personal computing Products purchased from Lenovo.com in quantities of five (5) units or less for any other reason within 30 calendar days from the date of invoice for a refund of the price paid"

Lenovo.com Return Policy
