Anyone with Beta, or know of iOS11 features on the first generation of the 12.9 iPad Pro? Hoping all the new multitasking and such transfers over.

Is it just performance change in the new 12.9 over the previous 12.9?

nice! heres to hoping it all runs pretty smooth come full release. You'd think 1st Gen Pro should be plenty strong, as nothing has really utilized it yet

Yup it should work fine on 1st gen. For the 2nd gen, it's mostly performance and peripheral (screen / CPU) changes, no specific new hardware features like supporting the Pencil was for iPad pros.

I'd say I'm pretty confident that it'll be super smooth when the final version is released. It's already decently fast even on this beta. tl;dr, I wouldn't worry about anything. This update is going to be an all-around win for all current iPad Pro owners, I think!

Any update on this since the latest ios 11 Beta has come out? There was another thread saying that the first gen 12.9 doesn't support true multi-tasking if there are already 3 apps on the screen. Is this true?

I installed PB3 on my 1st Gen iPP 12.9 and I loved it. I only went back to 10.3.3 for battery life and stability reasons. Otherwise it's going to be a game changer for the iPad (esp the Daddy Pro 12.9 lol).

I didn't realize that "hey Siri" was added in iOS 11. How is that working out for those who are still on the beta?
