Any thoughts on why sometimes the battery stops updating how much is left?

Sometimes my Mac battery stops updating the time left. The icon tells me I have 69% left (or something else) and it just stays that way as I use the computer.

I'm using a refurbished computer less than two months old.

Thoughts?

You might try doing a SMC reset.
