I preordered AWU2 because I've been admiring them on others and love that they are different and have more features/battery life than previous generations. After seeing it in the store, I think I'll like it, but would love to hear feedback from other women on how they like their Ultra 1 or if they are taking the plunge with Ultra 2. I tried it on for under 2 minutes and don't know yet how heavy it will feel for workouts or how it looks on a small to average woman's wrist. I'm coming from SS 41mm 7 and am nervous to trade in a perfectly performing watch for something that may be uncomfortable or too large.

Thank u! Definitely a good thought. I plan to spend some time in the store before completing the purchase. I guess I can just get a gift card if I choose to keep the ultra.

Yes and trade-in doesn’t have to happen at the time of purchase. Use the 14 day trial. If on day 12 or 13 you are sure, go back to the store, do the trade-in you can get a gift card or have the value put back on the same card you used to buy the Ultra 2.

I believe if you use a credit card to buy the new watch they'll refund the trade-in amount to your credit card.

As for how Ultra feels on a woman, I'm a small woman with small wrists (size 1 solo loop), and when I tried the Ultra last year, it was very wearable. It probably looked a tad big on my wrist, but I loved the big bright screen. I was very tempted to keep it, but my iMac was dying so I needed to buy a new Mac, and I didn't have the budget for both the Ultra and the Mac. If I hadn't needed to buy the Mac, I think I may have kept the Ultra. That said, the difference in weight between the regular watch and Ultra is noticeable. Just that for me the better screen would have been worth the extra weight.

Thank you Mirilobos!! Your response gives me a little more confidence in buying the watch. I'm glad it's working well for you - hoping to love it too.

Glad I help and if you already tried it and liked it, you will probably like it more as the days go by. I pre order the AWU2 too, store pick up this Friday.

I’m a woman with small wrists and love my Ultra1. It don’t look any bigger or feel heavier than my S4. The battery life is fantastic with the brighter screen and bigger screen. If I didn’t have the first Ultra, I would’ve upgraded to Ultra2.

Thank you, Stacey!!! That's 2 for 2 - feeling a bit encouraged now so not so nervous about the purchase. I've mostly seen men wearing them and just didn't know if there was something I didn't know (?). Anyway, glad you are happy with your Ultra.

You’re welcome. I never regretted the size nor weight of the Ultra. Since the casing is titanium, the weight never was an issue for me.

I edited my previous post to add my experience with the Ultra, in case you haven't seen the edit. I think that makes it 3 for 3.

I absolutely love my Ultra 1, and I'm trading it in for the 2 (that double tap thing seems really useful to me!). I wear mine working out and sleeping and to every fancy occasion. I always get compliments on it.
What band do you wear with it on fancy occasions? I did see a guy on TV once wearing the Ultra with a business suit, and I thought it looked very nice. I've been wondering if women can get away with wearing the Ultra on formal occasions. Depends on the dress, I suppose.

I wear my Ultra for all occasions. I have a few different ones I think are nice enough but really like this one I got from Brighton.

That is gorgeous!! That was my 2nd hesitation, but don’t get too dressy too often but good to know you can get something like this for upscale occasions.

I am still paranoid that the Ultra will be too big for me! How many ladies out there have the Ultra? Pictures would be a bonus so I can see it on someone else’s wrist 😊

I had the same concern, and the first week I kept taking it off because it felt giant on my wrist. Long story short, I got used to it. Yes, it's chonky. Accessorize with some chonky bangles for balance and it's fine. :D It's not like big watches haven't been a valid style choice before!
