Any Updates on the Firewire Situation for Macbooks?

Just curious if there were any updates regarding the lack of firewire on the new Macbooks.

I know the new MB Pros have firewire, but I had heard a few months back talk about adapters.

I had read an article about getting it through the ethernet port with an adapter...

The white macbooks have firewire. The new MacBook pros all have firewire. Only the older unibody macbooks lack firewire.

all the new macbooks (the only new one that is actually kinda old design) have firewire. and same with the MB Pro.
