No problems using Fusion 4.0 here with 2010 13 MBA. I just started it with Win7 and OneNote, and system memory went from 2.5GB free to 1.1GB free, so in this case the VM is using about 1.5GB RAM. Once it's running, it's pretty fast, even for a C2D cpu.

I did that and it begain trying to install java and/or client, like it normally would on a windows machine, and when it detected the mac os it showed me a dmg file to download so I did. I tried to open that and there was a vpn .pkg file in there and I tried to install that and kept saying corrupt file. I tried to ask my support team but apparently not many mac users they are trying to find out what went wrong. The file was about 4mb maybe if that.

Hmm. I didn't actually download mine, since my work laptop is at home with me so AnyConnect just runs on that and I RDP into that machine and work from my Mac.

And you must use AnyConnect, correct? Before we had this VPN I could just create a VPN connection in the Mac Prefs->Network section and then access all the work URLs.

I started a new thread in a different section, so if you or anyone could help I'd appreciate it. Also if I could find a downloadable cisco anyconnect client for the mac it would be great :)

I think the key to satisfactory operation of a VMware Fusion virtual machine with only 4GB of RAM is flash storage. Flash storage handles page outs exponentially faster than a mechanical disc does. Thus, within reasonable limits, page outs are no big deal.

I got mine from going to vpn.somecompany.com and downloading it from there, but it's quite easy to find through google. Most "how-to" pages provide download links to the client. Here is one I stumbled over for example.

Screw VPN clients. Checkpoint's client messed up a bunch of networking-related stuff on my Mac.

Thanks for that, I'll have to try that.
