Any way of getting unlimited data on AT&T iPad?

That's great to hear! I'm still not sure if $45/month plus the one time price of the phone is worth it for me for unlimited data though. Still debating. May I ask what you use the iPad for that makes it worth it?

video streaming is on way it could be used to easily exceed the cap...

Not so much

The only solution would require a jailbroken iPhone on an unlimited plan tethered to iPad.

I have an app on my droidX called easytether. I connect to that via Bluetooth, on my ipad2 and it works great! No jail breaking required!

Just another update:

The iPad with the straight talk sim gets the same or marginally better speeds than my iPhone 4, didn't think anything of it until I noticed that I can load pages in places where I couldn't use 3G data with at&t (ie: school). I'm very glad I can now use the Internet anywhere on campus now even when there is no wifi available (though this won't help me with work - have to be connected to the campus network to access servers)

I bought one of the very first iPad 1 with the unlimited data plan.

I travel all over the country, using my iPad constantly, and never went over 250 MGs. So I dropped the unlimited plan and went to the basic 250 plan.

Looks like I should have taken out the "sim" card first and sold it.
