iPhone Any way to automatically remove read gmail notifications from lock screen?

Is there any tweak that will automatically remove gmail notifications from my lockscreen when I read them on another device or computer? Mail.app will immediately remove the notifications, but the gmail app (which is much better otherwise) leaves them there so I end up with a bunch of old notifications every time I turn on my phone.

I found a bunch of people complaining about it here, but no solutions.
