Apologies in advance if this has been previously addressed (I am sure it has, but I've been peering over my search for "podcast and chapters" to no avail...)

Is there any way to add chapters, or otherwise breakup a podcast into smaller chunks? I like Al Franken show, but it's 2 hours and don't like losing my place if I want to listen to something else for a while.

Short of manually breaking up the mp3 into separate files, just curious if there is an more automated way to do this.

Thanks!

Get Info on the file, then under Options, check the box that says "Remember Playback Position".
I think iTunes does this by default for podcasts too.

Thanks.

Does that work when it's transferred to the iPod as well?

If you wanted to break them up you could import them into GargeBand and break them up there and re-import the "chapter'' into iTunes
