There's really no pattern or logic behind who has or wants a particular phone color. Trying to even discuss it to "figure it out" or explain it one way or another isn't going to shed any more light on it, as there really is nothing to shed light on. It's all personal preference that is driven by different things for different people in different places at different times.

white 16G iPhone 5

I searched and searched and it doesn't seem possible considering the parts.

I saw the white today and I fell in LOVE with it. Perhaps too much in love.

any options for me besides selling?

I been searching online to change my white iPhone 5 to black. I came across your thread. Do you still want a white phone? Have you figured out how to change the color? If so please let me know

You have fallen "too much in love " with a cell phone!?

OK, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about.

Really, it happens all the time.

Don't be concerned...really.

Very common thing.

OMG!!!

Trading with someone is a huge risk! You have no idea how they took care of the phone, how many drops its had or of anything is wrong with it. I alway buy new and them sell my device. Just absorb the difference.

There's no price on peace of mind!

Do you insist on buying only new cars and houses too? /s
In all seriousness, with some common sense, it can be pretty safe. Ask for the original box and receipt. Visually inspect the phone. If its not all dinged up you are more than likely safe. I've purchased over a dozen used devices and have never been burned. If the phone has an issue and there are no physical signs of damage, apple will replace it anyway.

The biggest risk, IMO, is buying a phone that was purchased on subsidy and then the original buyer skipped the bill, thus allowing the carrier to blacklist the imei. That, I am afraid, you cannot really work around.

Yes that is true. But if you trade with someone locally you can always check to make sure phone is working properly and in good condition.

I actually wanted to trade white for black so I would be willing to trade if its 16 gb or higher and in good condition
