I'm making commands that i can then speak and the computer will talk back and perform the command. Im using applescript. However, I want to change the system voice to Jarvis from iron man. I dont think its user friendly but I think there is a way to change the system voice to something specific with applescript, just dont know how.

second question, how do i get the jarvis voice? I dont want just audio clips...I want to change the whole system voice on my mac to sounding like jarvis.

Thanks

Jarvis is voiced by actor Paul Bettany. I don't think there's any way to change your computer's voice to his, or anything else for that matter.

OS X has had voice activated commands since .. before it was OS X.
You can find the controls in System Preferences > Accessibility > Speakable Items.

There are many different voices you can use, and they can be set (and downloaded) in the Dictation & Speech System Preference pane.

Creating a third-party custom voice would require recording individual phonemes, so you would need access to the actual speaker.

Is there any way to open the file of a voice that I download and alter how it sounds with applescript or something like that?

No. Not with applescript, nor with something like it.

In theory, one could write a sophisticated signal-processing program that alters voice samples, but that's the kind of thing that if you have to ask, it's beyond your skills. It's certainly beyond mine, and I've been programming for over 20 years.
